What I wish I'd known about my PERIOD - FUNDRAISER

Talking about your period is one of the most difficult things to do for most girls, that's why we have such bad menstrual education! I learnt most of what I know about periods and period health once I was an adult, and a lot of things I really wish I'd known when I was younger! So I and @bloodyhonest will be talking live on Instagram to answer the most embarrassing questions about periods and share our tips, advice and experiences to help educate and empower more girls to talk about their period!

This event is a fundraiser for period poverty. In countries like India, only 12% of women have access to sanitary products, the rest have to use unclean alternatives like rags or sawdust. Many women lack access to clean water to properly clean themselves or their sanitary items, leading to infection and disease. Even in western countries, many women cannot afford to buy sanitary products. This is a basic right for anyone who menstruates and it's outrageous that some women have to choose between food and period items. We have to raise awareness of this issue and every little donation we can raise can help to buy sustainable and reusable, safe products to distribute to women who are affected.
